What kind of material is that gasket made of? it looks like only foam and no rubber.

I went out to the warehouse and pulled a Camco Universal Fit RV Roof Air Conditioner Gasket Kit # CAM25071 to determine its material. While it is a foam material it is a closed cell type of foam used for applications that need leak protection.
This is a denser foam, very squishy (to use a technical term) but bounces right back into shape so it is not like regular cheap foam.
