The manufacturer website states that this hitch is compatible with all truck bed lengths for a 2013 f150, is there a reason you have it marked for a 6.5 foot bed only? Im interested in putting this on a 5.5 foor bed, crew cab fx4 with factory hitch.

You are correct, I checked with Torklift and the part # TLF1005H that you referenced has been confirmed to fit all bed lengths of your 2013 Ford F-150 so it would work well for you.
For a ball mount shank you would want the part # TLM9000 and then for a ball mount adapter part # TLM9005 and hitch ball # C40085.
