When installing the Hopkins InSIGHT Flex-Mount Trailer Brake Controller HM47297 on your 2013 F-150, you only need the additional plug-in adapter, part # HM47845 to complete the installation.
You plug one end of the adapter into the back of the brake controller and the other end into the brake controller port located under the dash just to the right of the steering column.
