I checked with my technical contact at DeeZee for the information you requested. The lid on the DeeZee Red Label Utility Chest Style Truck Bed Toolbox # DZ8546B will open up to approximately 80-degrees from its closed horizontal position.
This 8-cubic-foot aluminum utility chest style toolbox features gas shocks for smooth lifting and lowering of the lid and two locking paddle-style handles (with 2 keys included). This item carries a limited lifetime warranty from DeeZee and is USA-made.
