Does Using Tow Modes in Superchips Flashpaq Tuner Increase the Towing Capacity of a Vehicle
Updated 08/03/2015 | Published 08/01/2015 >
Question:
I was reading through specs for the SU1845 and see it has a heavy tow and light tow mode. What are the upper limits for the heavy tow mode and can the limit be increased tuned/programmed for if I use 89 or 91 octane fuels?

Expert Reply:
there isn't really a specific capacity or anything when in the various tow modes of SuperChips Flashpaq tuner # SU1845. You are still limited to whatever the truck can tow according to its owners manual. You would also have to follow the programmer's instructions for the correct octane of fuel to use in a given mode.
The tow modes make sure that you have the power in order to tow easier but they cannot increase the capacity of the truck.
