Question:
I want to add a battery system to my enclosed cargo trailer. It will power an alarm system and some utility lighting. What do you recommend for keeping the battery charged? Id like low maintenance, loke a solar charger so I dont have to plug it in regularly. Thanks!

A solar panel would work well for you with this application. I recommend the Solar Power Kit from Torklift # TLA7713. This is a 10 watt panel that will maintain the charge to boost the life of your battery and bring a battery back from 50-percent life.
We recently installed this solar panel on a trailer to maintain the charge on a battery. I have attached a review and installation video of this solar panel for you.
If you plan on using this solar panel with a single battery, you will need to use a 8-amp regulator, such at # TLA7715, to protect your battery.
