Which Thule Roof Box Will Allow Rear hatch To Open Fully On 2015 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

What roof top cargo boxes will fit a 2015 Toyota 4Runner, with either Toyota factory adjustable roof racks OR Thule square bar roof racks I actually have both of these crossbar roof racks for the 4R, without interfering with full opening of the rear hatch door?

To make sure a roof box allows you to open the rear hatch fully, you can take a quick measurement. Move your front crossbar forward as far as it will go and measure from the center of the crossbar back to the seam between the roof and the rear hatch. That is called 'Front Clearance'.

I have attached a chart that gives you the front clearance requirement for the Thule roof boxes we offer. For example, the Thule Alpine, part # TH613 needs a front clearance of 55-1/4 inches. And will fit crossbar spreads between 23-5/8 and 35-3/4 inches.
