Question:

I have a 19 ft jay feather light. its a 2007 model and I am trying to find a bike carrier for it. Do you have any recommendations? I dont think the bumper is strong enough. I dont see how I can put a hitch on it so Im desperate.

There are hitches available for trailers not equipped with one. We have specialty hitches that are designed to fit on a wide variety of frame widths. Measure the distance between the frame rails at the rear of your trailer to see which hitch will fit. The hitch with widest range we carry is the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 13703. It will fit frames between 22 and 72 inches wide. I have included a link to the installation details.

You might also be able to put a front mount hitch on your tow vehicle and carry the bikes that way. I would just need the year, make, and model of the tow vehicle to see if there is a front mount hitch available.

If the bumper is continuous welded steel, 4 to 4-1/2 inches square then you can use the RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack, # S80605, that you have referenced. If you do not have this type of bumper, you cannot use this type of bike rack.

We do carry towing bike racks. I have included a link to them below. When using a towing bike rack you have to make sure you stay within the gross trailer weight and tongue weight capacities of the rack. The weight of the bike rack and bikes does count against the tongue weight of the trailer hitch.
