To install the Curt trailer brake controller wiring harness # C51382 you will need to locate the factory harness. The harness is located underneath the dash, to the left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal. I have linked a video and some instructions on another harness that fits that should help.

The Curt trailer brake controller wiring harness is compatible with Curt brand brake controllers that accept the plug, like the Echo Under-Dash # C27JR. It is compatible with several different vehicles including your 2012 Nissan Armada with or without the factory 7-Way trailer connector (use # N40975 also if the vehicle did not come with a factory 7-Way).

The wiring functions are as follows:

White=ground
Black=12 volt power
Red=input from the stop light switch
Blue=out to the trailer brakes
