The Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier - 2" Hitches - 10 cu ft - 100 lbs # Y62VR, will fit on your Dodge Dakota if it has at least a Class III hitch. You will need to check the tongue weight capacity of your hitch and the capacities of the truck in your owner's manual.
A Class III hitch can typically handle around 500 pounds of tongue weight capacity, but since I do not know the year of your Dakota, I cannot be sure. It is vital that you check the capacity on your hitch and your owner's manual to verify that you have enough capacity for this application.
The box is weather resistant but not weatherproof. It is recommended that anything you want to ensure stays dry, you place in watertight plastic. I have included a video review of this box below.
