Hitch Recommendation for a Ford Truck with a Rear Lift Gate
Updated 07/20/2015 | Published 07/18/2015 >
Question:
I am looking for a Class 4 or 5 Trailer hitch to fit Ford truck with a Liftgate on the back. I need a hitch with the same mounting bolt pattern to fit a 2006 Ford F350 WITH the distance from the center of the rear most mounting hole to the END of the receiver is NO MORE then 10inch Might the mounting holes be the same for a different year hitch with this shorter distance?? I love Curt equipment and have it on all our trucks.

None of the custom fit hitches we carry are going to have a distance of 10 inches or less from the rear mounting hole to the hitch opening.
Your best option is going to be a multi-fit hitches like the # 41990 that has a 16k capacity. This is a weld on hitch that would require either the 7 inch drop brackets part # 4907 or the 16 inch brackets part # 4916.
