How to Handle Rust On Tow Bar Inner Arms
Updated 07/20/2015 | Published 07/18/2015 >
Question:
I am using a dry lubricant spray and still the bar is getting rusty and hard to telescope. Ive had to replace this bar. What can I do to keep it free. Where is headquarters? I do a lot of traveling and would like to visit, just want to be safe on the highway.

What you are currently doing is the best way to prevent rust. Unfortunately rust is sometimes pretty persistent. If you can sand the metal so that it stays off of the bars and then use the dry lubricant you would be best off.
Using a cover like part # RM-052 would also help prevent rust. Removing the tow bars from the vehicle when not in use will help as well.
