Question:
Can this model be used on a 2000 expedition 5.4 without issues? I looked up for my vehicle and this one 13614 didnt show up. Some models say designed for late model trannies??? Have read good things about the Derale plate coolers. Thanks for any info.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Transmission coolers like the Class V Derale Series 9000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler # D13614 are not vehicle specific; other pan type coolers such as # D14208 that bolt on in place of your transmission pan ARE specific to your 2000 Ford Expedition with 5.4L V8 engine. You can install Derale cooler # D13614 as long as you have space for it to mount in one of the preferred locations (see the linked article) such as in front of your AC condenser. You will also need hose fitting kit # D13025.
