Pivot Arm Settings for B and W Companion Fifth Hitches
Published 07/01/2015 >
Question:
question: Is there a position the pivot arms can be placed that will work for most 5th wheel RVs that are, say, 24-29ft.? I relize normally that you should position the arms for a RV that is towed regularly. But I may not always tow the same unit. I am looking for a solution to not having to constanly reposition the pivot arms for short hauls.

Having the head of a B and W Companion like the # BWRVK3500 positioned with the pivot arms in the middle most horizontal and vertical setting would give you the most neutral position that should work the best for most trailers under most circumstances.
But even that will depend on the truck and trailer setup. I attached a chart that has all of the pivot arm positions.
