Wet Bolts for Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers

Question:

I purchased an Equa Flex equalizer, part # 279687. It is sized for 4000 to 6000 pound axle. I understand it is best to install this with wet bolts? Do you sell the wet bolts used with this unit? Where should they be installed? I have a tandem trailer. Do you need to use a brass sleeve with them. Can your provide theappropriate part #s or kit for the wet bolts. Thanks

Yes, we do have the wet equalizer bolts you can use with the Equa-Flex Cushioned Equalizers. You will need # 126B2. I have included a picture showing a typical installation of the bolts being used to secure the springs to an equalizer.

Installation of the wet bolts and of the equalizer (in this case) are independent of each other. The Wet bolts are 9/16 inches in diameter so if the brass sleeve in the Equa-Flex makes the hole diameter too small either smaller bolts or no brass sleeves would be required. But the brass sleeves should stay in place and the 9/16 inch bolts should still fit.
