Need New Bearings and Grease Cap for 1999 Pace American Cargo Sport Trailer
Published 06/01/2015 >
Question:
Hi, I have an 1999 Pace American Cargo Sport and I need to replace the grease dust caps and potentially, the bearings depending on what I find. The wheel/hub is a 5 on 4-1/2, 15inch see attached photo. Ive searched the internet and Im not able to find the axle/spindle type and its not surprise given Paces past bankruptcy and new ownership. I believe the OD on the hub for the caps is 2.44, but Im not sure. Can you tell me what part numbers I should order for this trailer for grease/dust caps and bearings? Best,

Expert Reply:
In order to determine which bearings and grease cap are need for your 1999 Pace American Cargo Sport Trailer, we will need the numbers on your current inner and outer bearings. If you are unable to read the numbers you can use a digital caliper to get exact measurements of the spindle. The measurements needed are the parts of the spindle where the bearings ride. I have attached a picture for you. Once we have those numbers we can determine the correct replacement parts for you.
Unfortunately a collective OEM trailer parts catalog does not exist, so the best way to determine what parts you will need is to obtain the information directly from the trailer parts themselves.
If you get back to me with that information I would be happy to help you pick out the right bearings and cap. Or, you can follow the links I attached that will take you to the page that has all of our bearings and grease caps.
