Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2015 Toyota RAV4 XLE 4WD

Question:

Looking for a hitch for my 2015 RAV4 XLE AWD. I watched your video, but my vehicle has a plastic cover hiding the frame on the drivers side. Not sure if there might be a compatibility problem, so Im asking here. Also, what model hitch would be suitable?

Thank You for the photo of the plastic piece you said was covering the frame on your 2015 RAV4. I spoke with my trailer hitch manufacturer about your vehicle and they are not aware of anything covering the frame. I also spoke with our installers and they have not seen that piece covering the frame which would prohibit the installation of a hitch on the vehicle. If you decide to install a hitch on your RAV4 the plastic cover you have may need to be remover while the hitch is installed on the vehicle.

If your RAV4 is not an EV model I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C13149. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. I have attached a link to an installation video for this hitch you can take a look at.
