Question:

Have a 2015 Mercedes Benz ML-350 with factory installed trailer hitch. Looking to purchase something to carry extra cargo on trips as I need to also carry a childs folding wheelchair. Ive looked at the cargo boxes and think it would be good can you recommend one that will give us access to the rear cargo department of the vehicle? I also want to purchase items that will ensure the carrier is not stolen. Thank you.

My personal favorite is the GearSpace 34 Enclosed Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitch - Slide Out - 34 cu ft - 300 lbs - Dark Gray # HGK819. This hitch mounted carrier features a slide-out option which would allow full access to the cargo area of your 2015 Mercedes Benz ML-350. This carrier has an interior dimensions of 63" long x 28" wide x 40" tall. Its large size is our best chance that the wheelchair will fit, comfortably. I have attached a review video for you. One important note, despite the large size of this carrier, it has a 300-pound capacity and it is important to not exceed this capacity.

Now for theft prevention. The container includes 2 locks to secure the lid closed. Then you will need to add the Lets Go Aero Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin for 2" Trailer Hitches # SHP2061 to secure the carrier to the hitch. This will not only secure the rack to the hitch but will also reduce movement and vibration.
