Question:
Is a hitch available for the 2015 VW Golf Sportwagon TDI? We are purchasing one and will need a hitch receiver. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
We do offer a trailer hitch that is designed to fit the 2015 TDI.
The hitch that will work for you is the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11411. This is a Class 1 hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening.
A note from Curt states that all non-trailer loads like Bike racks, cargo carriers and so forth should be supported with stabilizing straps like part # 18050. Failure to properly support these loads will void your hitch warranty from Curt.
If you're going to be towing a trailer you also need the recommended ball mount, part # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19256 and for a 2 inch hitch ball I recommend part # 19258.
Then for a wiring harness use part # C59236.
