Question:

I need to know which semi inexpensive trunk mount bike carrier would be good for a 2002 Hona Civic sedan to carry a little boys bike and a ladies bike. I have never had or used a bike carrier, so do not even know where to start and I am seeing things about adapters for ladies bike frames and such, so am totally confused. Thanks!

We can recommend some easy solutions for you and try not to make it confusing.

One of our less-expensive bike carriers I recommend is the SportRack 3 Bike Rack, part # SR3152. This bike rack has dual arms with anti-sway cradles that help prevent bike-to-bike contact. I have attached a product review video for this rack you can check out.

Since you said you will be carrying a kids bike and a ladies bike, I do recommend the Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter, part # 64005. This attached between the seat post and the handlebar stem to provide a way to carry the bikes more level in the carrier.
