How to Pick Out Winch Strap Length

How long should my winch strap be in regards to my boat length and weight?

Expert Reply:

The length of your winch strap should be at least the winching distance required for loading the boat on the trailer. I would measure from the winch mount on your trailer back to the end of the bunks and go with a strap about that length.

If that distance happens to be exactly the same length as the hull of your boat you could use that length as well.

The part # DL24251 that you referenced is 20 feet in length and is 2 inches wide. I attached a review video for you to check out as well.
