The TruRyde # RG06-050 double lip grease seal is indeed wire spring reinforced, as you can see in the photo I've provided. The wire spring actually looks similar to a guitar string. Although double lip seals will work for any application, we recommend them for use with EZ lube spindles or with bearing protectors, as it's easy to overfill them. A double lip seal grips the spindle better, helping to keep the grease in the hub where it belongs.
