The Brophy Scissors Steps part # SS04 are only to be used while vehicle is stationary. They are not made to be permanently mounted to the camper. It needs to be installed using the mounting bracket that attaches to the camper.
With the mounting bracket installed on the camper the steps are easily removed prior to vehicle travel. These steps measure between 31 and 40 inches when extended and 11 inches when retracted. The steps measure 18 inches wide and 6 inches deep and have a 300 lb weight capacity.
