Question:

I have a 2015 Camp Lite trailer and am considering the 13703 adjustable hitch, which I see requires a support strap under the warranty. What solutions can you recommend for attaching the strap to the rear of the travel trailer. Have some concerns about the hitch itself a. will require some modification to plate on one side, and b: reduced ground clearance. Suggestions for mounting strap and modification to mounting bracket?

to answer your first question, anywhere at all that you can attach the strap will work provided the attachment point on the trailer is higher than the attachment point on the accessory. There isn't a right or wrong place. It just has to be on there.

For the hitch, # 13703, you will not want to modify it at all because doing so will void the hitch warranty. If this hitch is not going to work without modification I recommend looking at another option, # UF35-946403 for 47 to 77 inch wide frames.

Frame width is measured from the outside of one frame rail to the outside of the other. Also with either of these three hitches you do not have to use a stabilization strap. These three hitches bolt to the bottom of the frame rails and a professional installer is recommended.
