How to Measure for the Correct Replacement Trailer Axles

Question:
I bought a travel trailer I just found out both axels are bent how do I get the right measurement to order the right one

Expert Reply:
Are they really bent, or do they have an arch in them? Most trailer axles are specifically designed to they're arched. When weight is applied to the axles, they'll flatten which will give the tire tread full contact with the pavement. If the axles weren't arched, the tires would contact the pavement with the inside edges once weight was applied to the axle. This would cause uneven tire wear.
If you determine that the axle is indeed bent, you'll need the following information to get the correct replacement axle.
-Hub face to hub face measurement (see diagram)
-Spring center to spring center dimension (see diagram)
-Inner and outer wheel bearing reference number
-Axle capacity
If you could reply with the above information, I'd be happy to check to see if any of our off the shelf axles would work for you.
