I am interested in a roof rack that can be used to transport 2 stand up paddleboards for a 2013 GTI. What can you recommend to me?

We have exactly what you would need. First let's start with a roof rack, for that I would recommend the Thule Roof Rack that consists of # TH711420, # TH710501, # TH145009. I attached an install video for you to check out.
An excellent carrier to use with this rack would be the Thule SUP Taxi Part # TH810001 that you also referenced.
