Replacement Vinyl Trim to Cover Edges on Trailer

Question:
What is the plastic/rubber strip material called that fits over the metal molding material on the trailer. The molding that connects or covers the edges, has sheet metal screws in it, and has a lip or groove that the plastic strip material covers up. It gets hard and brittle, cracks and falls out.
