Question:

i have a cargo box that seems to be made by thule, but not totally sure. The cargo box attaches to the mercedes roof rack via a screw assembly that slides in a channel in the rack. I want to move the box to my yakima round bar. what parts would i need to get to convert the mounting to be able to attch to my yakima round bar?

I am familiar with Mercedes-Benz branded cargo boxes. The photo attached for you shows another customer's older M-B cargo box bottom surface and the channels on it that allow its hardware to slide for adjustability.

We do not have OEM-style replacement hardware for the M-B box but we can certainly help you select suitable substitute hardware that will work with your Yakima round bar roof rack. It is possible you may need to modify the box by drilling new holes for the hardware you select but this is not a difficult process and you can easily seal up any extra holes with a silicone sealant like # LT37467.

You can use mounting kit # TH05603. This will need only small holes to be drilled into your box.
