It looks like the 2004 Dutchmen Sport 26 footer has a gross weight of 6,720 pounds but I can't say if that is the gross weight or the dry weight.

Tongue weight is usually 10 to 15 percent of the gross trailer weight. So for a trailer that weighs 6,720 pounds that would make the tongue weight 672 to 1,008 pounds.

I have included a link to our help article that explains how to determine tongue weight. I recommend a tongue weight scale, # e99044.

I wasn't able to find anything online about your tongue weight but generally the listed tongue weight is about 14% of the unloaded (or dry) weight of the trailer. Once you load your Dutchman up you want to distribute the cargo so that your tongue weight is 10-15% of the loaded weight of the trailer. You can use a tongue weight scale like what Mike mentioned to help you get it right each and every time you load up your trailer.
