Question:
3 questions....What thickness of metal does it bolt onto and what size are the bolt holes and what is the distance between the bolt holes center to center?
asked by: Bill
Helpful Expert Reply:
First, the thickness of the metal channel that the Demco trailer coupler # DM14040-52 is going to bolt onto will be 1/4 inch to 3/8 of an inch thick. Or you could split the difference and say 5/16 inches.
As far as the size channel, it is designed for a 3 inch wide channel such as # DM59602 which would be welded to the trailer.
The holes are spaced 2 inches apart on center. The bolt holes are slightly larger than 5/8 inch diameter for use with 5/8 inch bolts, # PS024202.
