If I installed this on my 2004 VW golf GTI 1.8L Turbo, could I tow a small camper trailer? Im trying to do an extensive road trip with my Golf! Thank you guys very much!

The Curt Hitch part # C11066 that you referenced has been confirmed as a fit for your 2004 Volkswagen Golf GTI. The hitch itself has the towing capacities of 2,000 lbs trailer weight and 200 lbs tongue weight. As long as your trailer stays under this figure and the towing capacities that are listed for your vehicle in the owners manual you would be good to go.
