LED Trailer Tail and Brake Lights Not Working when Connected to 2012 Nissan Frontier

pluged in # c55441 to my nissan frontier 2012 with the tow plug drivers side rear then plugged trailer led lights in only turn signals work? same lights worked on my last truck last year only use the trailer lights once a year, the ligts are 2 years old. thanks.

The first thing I recommend checking is the tow package fuses and relays on your 2012 Nissan Frontier. There are some under the hood and some in the in-cab fuse panel. If any relays are missing you could use Nissan relay kit # C57000.
The LED lights on the trailer might not want to play nice with the particular tow package you have on your Frontier. This happens sometimes because LED lights draw much less power than regular incandescent bulbs. You can test this easily by connecting and incandescent light in place of an LED light on one of the circuits that isn't working.
If the regular incandescent bulbs light up but the LEDs do not then the issue is a lack of power draw from the LEDs. Installing load resistors such as # DI34ZR in line on each affected circuit will create more draw and solve that problem.
