Brake Controller Recommendation for 2010 Volvo XC60
Question:
I have a 2010 Volvo xc60 T6 AWD and Im looking to install a trailer brake controller on it. It has the factory hitch, 4 flat connector and trans cooler already. do you have any information on installing a trailer brake controller? will it interfere with the auto braking safety feature? any info and part number will help. thanks.

Since you already have a 4-pole wiring harness in place you're already half way there! You'll just need to select a controller, such as the popular and reliable Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 and an installation kit # ETBC7.

The trailer brake controller will not affect the braking system in the vehicle since it only connects to the tow vehicle braking system through an electrical connection at the brake light switch.
