Question:
What is the bolt pattern for the Curt Front Receiver 31042 and 31043? I have a lifted 2WD C1500 pickup which would give me plenty of ground clearance for the 31042 ped profile compared to the 31043. the 31043 says it is for 2WD suburbans, but arent the pickups and suburban/tahoe front frame rails the same, as the Draw Tite front hitch looks identical? I would prefer not to remove or cut the air dam if I can.

Expert Reply:
For your 1992 C1500 pickup truck you would want either the Curt Hitch part # 31042 that you referenced or the Draw Tite Front Hitch part # 65005 that will hang higher than the Curt.
The # 31043 is for 2500 and 3500 series C Series trucks so it would not work for you.
The # 65005 will require fascia trimming and drilling for installation. Since the Curt hitch hangs lower it would not require that the fascia be trimmed.
