Will this install on the above truck? Do I need any other adapters? I am towing a double axel travel trailer. T.y. For your help.

Yes, the Curt Brake Controller part # C74VV that you referenced has been confirmed to fit your 2005 Ford Excursion. All you need to install it is the correct harness, part # C51322.
This adapter plugs into the port on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. This harness should be located beneath the dash, near the center console.
