Question:
Curt calls for an extra strap to be used with a bike rack to help support the hitch. Is this strap required by the etrailer hitch? I would want to purchase one of them if it is not required for their warranty.

Expert Reply:
The etrailer hitch does not require a stabilization strap when using the or # e98844 trailer hitch receiver for your 2015 Toyota Highlander.
Although Curt highly recommends that all non-trailer loads be supported by a stabilizing strap, such as # 18050, it is not required to maintain their warranty for the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch Receiver, # C13394.
