5th Wheel Frame Brackets only to Install PullRite Hitch in 2005 Ford F250

Updated 12/25/2014 | Published 12/24/2014

Question:

Hi, we are trying to find frame mounting brackets for an 05 F250 shortbed so we can use the Superrails that came with the 5th wheel we purchased. All we have seen is the entire kit that includes the actual rails which we dont need. We are also wanting to use these with a Superglide 16K hitch that we still need to purchase. The frame brackets are the only thing we cant find. Is there another manufacturer that can provide the brackets? Thanks so much!

The frame brackets of the # RP50082-58 can be purchased separately from the bed rails as part # RP50082. The frame brackets will probably be compatible with your bed rails if they are Industry Standard bed rails. However, I strongly recommend you choose frame brackets and bed rails from the same manufacturer. That way, you know without a doubt that the parts will all be compatible and that the weight capacity will be known. When you use a frame bracket from one manufacturer and bed rails from another, the capacity will be unknown because these items have never been tested together.

I'd recommend either going with the full Reese Install kit, part # RP50082-58 (assuming that your hitch is compatible with Industry Standard Bed Rails) or checking with Pullrite to see if they can provide frame brackets.

If you don't already have a 7-way trailer connector in your truck bed, you can install one using part # 50-97-410. You can see an install video for the bracket kit and the trailer connector by clicking the provided links.
