Question:
Hi, From what i see on etrailer.com there are a few different wiring harnesses that can be installed on a 2014 Nissan Frontier. One that plugs right in, one that has relays that are installed behind the passenger side kick panel, and another you have that have to be spliced into the tail light wiring. I want trailer lights. No brakes, or any other devices, just lights. Can I use the one that connects right into the factory plug located on the frame? The wiring harness with the relays: What are the relays for? Thank you for your time,

What you will need is the Curt Wiring Harness # C56225 if you don't have the tow package, or the # C55441 if you do have the tow package. Basically these two harnesses are the same except the # 118525 includes the relays and harnesses to activate the plug in harness that is on your 2014 Nissan Frontier. If you are unsure if you would need the relays of the # 118525 you can test the connector in the picture I attached that is under the rear of your vehicle for voltage when the taillight signals are activated. If the pins aren't active you would need the # C56225, if so you would want the # C55441.
