Question:
I use my 88 Toyota PU to shuttle from my house to my main vehicle. Tire size is 235/75/15. The climb covers 1000 vertical feet over about a mile. We are at 9000 feet in the Wet Mountains of Colorado. Switchbacks are steep and at least two are north-facing. Grades can reach 20. Snow and ice are the obvious issues. Im tired of the dinky chains our local Napa dealer swears are the best you can buy. What is your best heavy-duty suggestion?? Regards

Beautiful picture!
Although beautiful to look at, I can only imagine how difficult it can make driving. For the conditions that you speak of, I highly recommend the Pewag ASV Snow Tire Chains, # PWASV79, for your 1988 Toyota Pickup with 235/75/15 tires. These heavy-duty steel chains were designed for the most severe conditions and provide exceptional traction. The asymmetrical pattern of the tire chains deliver maximum forward, lateral and stopping traction, as well as a smooth ride.
Please keep in mind that automakers get the final word on suitability of tire chains on their vehicles so I suggest you take a look at your owner's manual for guidance or restrictions regarding tire chains.
