  Hello Steve, thanks for reaching out. The Curt QuickPin No-Latch Trailer Coupler # C82CR will fit a 2" channel, but you would need to drill a second hole on the side of the tongue. The bolt holes on this coupler are 3" apart on center, and the coupler must be attached to the tongue using 1/2" grade 5 bolts. The picture below shows an example of proper installation.   I believe the reason you are having a hard time finding a 2" Coupler # CT-3001-Z with the same mounting hole spread as the 1-7/8" Coupler # CT-2001-Z has to do with the amount of weight the couplers are rated for. The 2" is going to require a larger bolt hole spread to distribute the weight more across the trailers pole tongue. So while the 1-7/8" coupler has the bolt holes spread 2-1/4" on center the 2" coupler moves them out to 3-1/6" on center.
