You picked out a beautiful campsite for the weekend, a nice place to pause and relax. But before you can enjoy it, you have a whole checklist for getting your RV set up at your campsite. Getting your pull-style manual retractable awning extended is one of those tedious chores. Wrestling with your heavy canopy as you try to pull it out smoothly and evenly is exhausting. Getting it back in is even worse. Working against the tension to get it to roll up nice and even again can be a strain on your arms and your back. And if you don't do it right the first time, you just have to start over again. It's time to find a better way to do this.
With a power awning, there's no bother and there's no effort: push a button and your awning rolls in and out, just like that. It wires into your RV and connects to your battery so it's always ready to go. If you ever find yourself without power and you need to get the awning back into place, there's a manual override built into the drive head that you can use to retract or extend your awning with a power drill (not included).
Note: The manual override function is not available on 2017 Forest River Cherokee campers.
Best of all, this conversion kit is a great economical option. You don't need to buy new fabric or a new roller to upgrade to a power awning. You just need these new awning heads and endcaps, and you're good to go.

Easy to install, both ends no problem. Follow wiring instructions provided or you will fry the rocker switch provided. Found out the hard way and had to purchase a new rocker switch for my mistake. FYI, if you can't find wiring in your camper you can use a rechargeable 12 volt battery with a fuse in line. Works like a charm.
package did mot come with any screws. cannot attach end caps to heads. and no screws to attach heads to awning arms. makes the whole set pretty useless. this is the first and last time I will ordered from etrailer.
