Great product. I would give it 5 stars if it were easier to take on and off. It can't go through car washes, and there's a bit of measuring invoked to get it back on. That could and up being a hassle. Still from what I can see, it's the best product out there in it's price range.

by:

Product arrived two days after I ordered it and it works perfectly!

by:

Great design and exact instructions, i would recommend this product. etrailer was very nice to work with.

by:

these feet are awesome, they work really good
the bolts could be a bit longer, would make it easier to start the threads on the
locking knobs.
over all happy with the product.
thanks etrailer

This rack worked well on my 2000 Toyota Tundra. I had racks on my camper shell but wanted an additional one on the cab. This worked just as I'd hoped...

by:

Easy to install. Installed it with the wife in about 30 minutes. Using the Inno crossbars and bike racks.

by:

They look good the only problem is that the brackets that grip the rail are too straight so that the pads do not meet the roof and they bend the crossbar

Per your photo, I can see you have the vehicle specific clips attached to holes in the roof rail. The clips are meant to install at the tops of the door jambs. Once correctly installed, everything should fit great for you.

by:
2017 Chevrolet Cruze

Installation is easy. Just follow directions. Front bar parts are different than rear bar parts so you need to look at part numbers and use in correct location. Rack is only rated for 100 pounds but looks and feels much stronger than rating. As noted square bars do create lot of wind noise when driving. Purchase this product to carry my Canoe and it does that at almost $200 less than other rack systems on market. For me the square bars are better fit with ratchet straps to hold Canoe down. Hard to find ratchet strap with hook to fit areo bars.
Dislike. No way to level square bars. With car on level ground high point to high point on bars is level. But each bar is off by 1/8" front to back. Wish they were round bars.

I have been very happy with the roof rack system.

2025 Honda CR-V

This set-up fit my 2025 Honda CR-V perfectly. I was able to use my 20 yr old Thule square bars (79") which I have always used for hauling two side-by-side canoes. This saved me from replacing the perfectly good old bars.

by:

Quick and easy. This roof rack was shipped quickly. Installation was super easy and it looks like it was made for my truck. Holds my canoe perfectly. Thank you!

by:

Product arrived on time and packed very professionally. Was very satisfied with the overall quality of the product. Everything went right together and fit perfectly. I dealt with a gentlemen named George J. He was very professional and extremely helpful throughout the whole process with updates letting me know how my order was going. Very happy with the product.

Perfect Fitment for my 2012 Ford Escape, etrailer.com's fitment guide was spot on.

by:
2015 Acura TLX

This is an excellent product. Well made. However, it comes in 3 separate packages with instructions for each. That is because some of the parts are specific to fit your vehicle. In my case, I have a 2015 Acura TLX sedan. It is important to read the directions that come with all of the components. While some of the parts look similar, they are not and must be put in the right place. Once I figured that out, it came together nicely. Attached is a photo of how the whole thing looks on my car.

I was curious by what you mean that the roof rack sticks too much.

Kris

6/6/2023

Thank you for the follow up. Its the locking mechanism, it is sticking too much and its not as aerodynamic as others - see attached. Its prone to catch wind and make noise. Considering the price and that my teen would use it, its a good rack :-. Thank you for the great service! If you feel my review is misleading, feel free to not post it.

by:

I had a pair of old thule cross bars I wanted to use, ordered the feet pack not realizing I would also need a fit kit. Had to look at the complete rack system to find the fit kit part number. Wish it would have recommended the fit kit when I added the feet pack to cart. Add on sales basics. Just bummed I have to spend more on a separate transaction, not such a great deal anymore. Quality/finish is less than Thule/Yakima products I currently own on another vehicle. But functionally it should work no different.

by:

I am a fifty-four year old single woman and being able to install these roof racks by myself makes me feel empowered!!
I watched a video emailed with my delivery confirmation of an installation on a similar vehicle all the way through first, and then watched it again as I did the steps myself, pausing when I needed to.
The products appear to be of high quality, were packaged/shipped neatly and it was easy to organize everything for installation. I couldn't be happier!

2017 Kia Sportage

Waited till I put the new rack to work before review. Used it the first time today and it worked Great. Seems like a very durable rack system. Love that everything is rubber coated so it doesnt scratch the paint on your car. Installing instructions where a little confusing but found YouTube videos from etrailer on how to install exact rack system.

by:

Really great value! No need to spend a lot on Thule. Even those these are square shaped I actually don't hear much road noise. Besides, you're gonna have music playing or riding with the windows down anyway. I would definitely buy these again.

by:

I followed directions and the rack went on without a hitch. The measuring tape provided was a bit confusing but my tape measure did just fine. It pays to watch for any movement of the stays as you tighten them. It fit perfectly. I was impressed with the quality of the unit. The torque wrench provided was a nice bonus. I attached a boat rack for my rowing shell and I’m confident it will be safe all the way to the water.

by:

Roof racks are very loud. Probably won’t keep them on all the time like I was planning. Shipping was very slow and took almost a month to get my order that was in stock. Overall the racks do what I need them to do.

by:

Rack detached from my roof on the highway at about 70mph, taking my cargo container with it. Luckily, no one was behind me as it would have very easily caused an accident. Customer service was terrible and didn’t accept a return. Damaged the contents of the cargo container.Do not buy this product or from this company as they will not help.

There are a lot of factors involved when installing and using a roof rack. For the 2018 Ford Focus Sedan the roof rack capacity is 120 pounds although you would want to also check that the manual says for the vehicle. Before tightening anything down you will want to look at the instructions to find the proper spread between the bars and also the feet. Once that is down you will take the included Allen tool and tighten down the bolt. Next you will install the fit kit which will have you start with the foot pad. The foot pad will line up with the holes at the bottom of the foot. These will push into place and are numbered so that the right pad lines up with the right foot. To install the clamp you will remove the screw from the outside and loosely tighten it up to hold the clamp into place. The next step is to measure from the center of the doorjamb you will get the measurement to the center of the bar. You will find this in your instructions. Repeat on the other side. Then you will take the tightening tool and snug it up against the door. You will do this on the passenger side as well. Then you will go back and forth from drivers to passenger side giving about five or six turns each time until its completely tightened down. When it makes the clicking sound you will know its completely tied down. You do not want to over tighten it.

Hey John, I do have a solution for you but the Thule square bar roof racks changed a few years ago and now their current feet don't work with the older style of crossbar. The new crossbar has a channel that runs along the bottom of it whereas old style did not have this. But we have found is that the Inno square bars are exact same dimensions so you can use their feet and fit kit with the bars you have now. For that you'd need the part numbers # INK666 for the correct fit kit and part...

For a rack that is very similar to the Thule square bar racks we have the Inno part # INB127, # INSUT, and # INK593 that fits your vehicle. This rack actually has the exact same crossbar dimensions as the Thule square bars but at a much better price.

  • How To Determine Crossbar Placement On A 2024 Ford Maverick
Hello Warren, I can definitely help. Roof rack manufacturers test vehicle roofs to determine the strongest points. They develop their fit kits to fit in this predetermined spot. So, this measurement will vary from vehicle to vehicle. For a 2024 Ford Maverick, the front crossbar will be placed 12-1/4" back from the top edge of the front windshield. The rear crossbar will be placed about 27-1/2" behind the front crossbar. There may be a bit of front/back wiggle room, but generally you will...
