And the best part was it was hundreds , yes I said hundreds of dollars cheaper for the exact same item ! Nice work from natille very polite and helpful.great dealing with them all 3 times. Direct replacement for my Atwood 10 gal.
Arrived
ahead of shipping schedule and was fairly easy to install (slightly complicated by my by-pass valve and no access from the rear of the unit in my RV).
Couldn't be happier with the e-trailer transaction. Nice to have a fully functioning water heater again.

  • Replacement Water Heater Option For A Atwood AT94023 On A 2004 Itasca Suncruiser
For your 2004 Itasca Suncruiser, with an Atwood RV Water Heater w/ Heat Exchange AT94023, which is no longer available, I recommend going with the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR. This tank is a bit smaller at 6 gallons, versus AT94023 10 gallon capacity, but will also produce up to 12 gallons of hot water per hour, which should be plenty. Additionally, this unit has an aluminum clad tank, that does a great job preventing corrosion, and also has a high-temperature limit switch, which...

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood G6A-8E RV Water Heater
We do carry the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR which you could use to replace your Atwood G6A-8E 6 gal RV Water Heater, but I highly recommend switching over to a tankless system like the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater 60,000 BTU # FR98SR. This unit features a heating capacity of 13,000 - 60,000 Btu, well above that of your Atwood. It has similar dimensions at 12-5/8" L x 12-13/16" W x 19-3/16" D so you'll need to make slight alterations to your cutout hole to fill in the gap but...

  • Replacement Standard tank Water Heater For an Atwood 6G Water Hearter
We only have one water heater that is not tank-less. That is the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR. The # DMC74FR water heater has cut-out dimensions of 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep. The door is available as # DMC58FR. The RV industry is moving towards tankless water heaters, they are a lot more efficient and standard (tank) water heaters are getting harder to find and find replacement parts for. • Troubleshooting A DSI-FLT Error On An Atwood RV Water Heater
DSI stands for direct spark ignition and FLT stands for fault. Normally you would see this error code on your Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR if it tried to ignite the burner on the water heater but failed. First thing is to check your propane supply. The second thing would be to check the burn chamber to see if it is clogged with carbon flakes and clean it out. Since you're not running it in gas mode it means that the ECO (Energy Cut Off Switch) is causing your issue. This switch will...

  • Do I Need to Replace an Anode Rod in My Atwood GC6A-9E Water Heater, How do I get Rid of this Odor?
Hello Fred, Great question. Your Atwood GC6A-9E water heater does not require an anode rod because it has an aluminum tank, which naturally resists corrosion. Instead, regular maintenance involves flushing the tank periodically and replacing the ½-inch NPT nylon drain plug. Anode rods are only necessary for water heaters with steel tanks. I attached instructions on how to flush out the water heater. I am curious on why you were looking to replace it, was it due to an odor?

  • Can An Anode Rod Be Installed In A Dometic GC10A-4E RV Water Heater

  • Recommended Replacement For An Atwood GE 16 EXT Water Heater
I do have some options for replacing your Atwood GE 16. You certainly can use the Dometic # DMC74FR to replace it since it is a similar gas/electric tanked water heater. The main difference is that they Dometic unit is smaller than your Atwood unit. The Dometic # DMC74FR is 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep, so you will likely have to do a bit of modification to your cutout to allow it to fit correctly. Pretty much any new unit is going to be smaller than your Atwood unit.
