Replacement Water Heater Recommendation For An Atwood GC6AA-8E Water Heater

i have a 1996 starcraft rv and need to replace the water heater. currently the rv has an Attwood model #GC6AA-8E, serial #96141006187. i cant seem to find this model anywhere, do you know if they have discontinued this and if so what is the replacement. thank you

I went ahead and checked out the Atwood GC6AA-8E water heater you mentioned, and it turns out this water heater is discontinued.

So for a replacement, I recommend checking out the:

-Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR.

This water heater has a 6 gallon capacity, a heating capacity of 10K Btu's, and has cutout measurements of 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep.

Atwood Manufacturing burned to the ground 15-20 years ago and never re-opened. If you see any google ads for atwood with prices near $100. or less, report them to google with screenshots, I got scammed for $103. thru an ad paid thru paypal and wayfair went thru a phony website. There have been 3 phonies out there since my scammer, I have reported all 4, but the scammer opens a new one everytime. $103., $56.+, $76.+, and now a new one at a jewelry in South Dakota. I will continue to report this person, if you order one of the units, they say its been shipped from China, and because you paid thru a phony website, Paypal will not open a case for you. YOU ARE OUT THE MONEY AND NO ONE WILL RE-IMBURSE YOU FOR THE TRANSACTION.

@Rick That's a good warning to put out there as Atwood is definitely not around anymore and its pretty crazy that scammers are trying to use their brand to rip people off! Didn't know they actually burned to the ground though.
