Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver. Easy order. Arrived on time. Super easy install!! Recessed under bumper. Shiny black. Hint: GET THE WIRE BRUSH TO CLEAN NUTS UNDER CAR !!!
LOOKS GREAT!!

by:

We've had this for one year and it has been excellent. Installation was simple (aside from a problem that had nothing to do with the hitch). We use it exclusively for bike rack/cargo box/dirtbike carrier and have been very pleased.

This was a fantastic buy! It took me twenty minutes to install by myself. Had to acquire a torque wrench to finish it off, but that was only a $10 purchase. I have used the hitch twice now since my installation, and would recommend e-trailer to everybody, and anybody looking for a tow hitch. Forgot to mention it was 1/4 the price of the dealer, and you can barely tell it is on the vehicle.

2012 Kia Sportage

Just recently bought a 2012 Kia Sportage that needed a hitch . Dealer ship wanted an extreme price to put a hitch on .
So I just did it my self . Very easy install it's just 4 bolts . If yours is an vehicle from the north a wire brush is a must to clean bolt holes .The videos are a big help if you are less mechanically inclined

by:

It was an easy install. The direction is concise for my vehicle. The wiring took me 3hrs to get hooked up. what I like about it I did not have to cut into my car wiring harness, made the job easy and clean. once the electrical connection was done the hitch only took 30 minutes to mount. You do not need special tools to install the hitch. I was shopping around and etrailer was the only one to have the trailer wiring harness for my vehicle. very fast service and they keep you up to date on your order, Thanks.

2010 Hyundai Tucson

I looked everywhere for wire brushes to clean the hole underneath my Tucson. I could only find plastic. I spent hours cleaning 10 years of dirt out of the holes until I could get a bolt into the holes. I had to use a floor Jack to hold up the hitch so I could get the bolts started. It took me a few hours to finish the job.

by:

Received my order so fast! It fits like a glove, installed and ready to mount my bike rack about 15 minutes after the UPS man left.. wish everything installed so easy - absolutely no swearing involved.
FIVE STARS!!

by:

Amazing hitch! Rock solid and has worked with everything I have thrown at it so far.

by:

The trailer hitch and bike rack were exactly as described. It fit perfectly and was just what I needed. The instructions for the hitch said that the installation time was 15 minutes and I expected the worst and figured it would take over an hour. I spent more time unwrapping the the paper than the actual installation.20 minutes later it was clean up time.
Thank you for the great product!

A year later it’s good as new

2014 Kia Sportage

Hitch arrived relatively undamaged. The hitch was well made and looked great. The sticker for the weight rating was almost completely destroyed. Not a big deal but just wonder if a replacement sticker could be acquired. Install of the hitch was a breeze. Fit exactly. Good tips about cleaning weld nuts & test bolts before actual install. Had one that was a little more stubborn than the rest. Would have been more difficult if I tried to clean & hold hitch at the same time. Install took very little time. Get the passenger side sting on the tailpipe & star pattern the bolts.
When my order was placed the rep was steering me to a different Curt hitch. Not much more $ but the only difference was the other hitch was rated for weight distribution. My little Kia isn’t even close to being able to pull that much. Seems like the rep should know that and have a more appropriate suggestion or at least ask what it was I would be towing/hauling.
A note to let the recipient know the bolts/washers are inside a bag taped in the receiver tube would save a phone call.
I could have saved a few dollars by going with another vendor but etrailer’s reputation for taking care of the customer won me over.
Would order again and recommend.

It was easy to install and has been super solid. It’s pulled my camper all over the west. And I think it makes our Tucson look more serious and capable.

by:

Very nice hitch. Took me about 20 min after unboxing and gathering the required tools to get it installed.
I bought this primarily to secure a bike rack to my Kia Sportage and it works perfectly for this purpose.

Still working great for hauling my mountain bike around!

by:
2015 Kia Sportage

All necessary parts shipped.
Had trouble
cleaning out nuts welded in frame. Two bolts went in after about
an hour of trying. Still waiting for the penetrating oil to free the rust and debri in the other two. This is NOT etrailer's fault. The installation would have gone very similar to the video if it were not for the frame-nut problem.
etrailer's customer service was very helpful.
Thanks

Paul

So far, so good. I use it mainly for a bike rack, but it has been used to haul a small trailer. I am pleased and would consider buying another one when I buy a new vehicle. Thanks

2013 Hyundai Tucson

Hitch and wiring system. Very pleased with both products. The corner of the hitch receiver was bent when I received it, luckily the person installing it was able to make the adjustment. The hitch itself was too low, but that was my ordering error. The wiring harness was easy to install. Great company to deal with. I was able to call and speak to a customer service representative because I had questions originally. And what company follows up after a year, unheard of. I would recommend dealing with e-trailer. Very positive

2015 Kia Sportage

The product arrived in a few days as advertised. The hitch looks well built, sturdy and well engineered. I put this hitch on a 2015 Kia Sportage. The only problem I had was with corroded threads in the existing welded nuts on the car. I could not get the bolts to take the thread even after soaking them with penetrating oil. The directions warned that this might be a problem so it was the 1st thing I checked. I drove to my local well stocked auto parts store (not one of the national chains) and bought a tap the same size as the nut threads, took it home and cleaned the threads. From the time I got home it literally took me 10 minutes to install the hitch. For the 2015 model I did not need to drop the exhaust. I just snaked the passenger side between the frame and the tail pipe, held up that side, ran a bolt in to hold it. There are no obstructions on the drivers side. It lifted straight up and into place. Using the slotted holes in the hitch, I adjusted it so it wasn't touching the frame anywhere and tightened the bolts. Done. Easiest hitch I've ever installed. The hitch does touch and deform the plastic rear bumper slightly, but doesn't cause any problem. Can't see it or hear it. So yeah. I'll get my next hitch from etrailer as well.

by:

Alex and etrailer were great . Hitch came day sooner than expected. Didn't like prices shops wanted so decided to DIY install. So with one good arm and hand (and one not good- stroke impairment) used a windshield sun shield to get on cold garage floor. Got hitch up and rested on tailpipe And used hitch cardboard packing box with a small chair cushion to put hitch on to raise it up some. After figuring best position to use good arm, was able to push a bolt up on passenger side and started. Put second bolt also-feeling cocky now. Did same on drivers side-actually harder side for me. 2 bolts finally- all done. Son saw it and said "YOU did that?"

I'm a bit creaky and I move slowly. I don't have a lift, and I didn't use jack stands. I had to make two trips back inside from the driveway (once for spray lube, once for a socket adapter), and I still finished installation in under 30 minutes.

At least 10 minutes of that was cleaning out the driver side weldnuts, which were a bit rustier than the passenger side. I highly recommend threading a bolt all the way through each hole before doing anything else.

The hitch hides well under the rear bumper, and look factory. I highly recommend it.

2015 Hyundai Tucson

Easiest hitch I have ever installed! It fit just as it should and was no problem to install at all. No drilling and no issue with clearance of body or muffler. Great product.

2011 Hyundai Tucson

Have a 2011 hyundai tucson limited, hitch was easy to install, just 4 bolts. Fits great, really sturdy and solid. I had a second pair of hands during install but definitely not necessary. Didnt even have to jack up the car or move the exhaust pipe. Definitely recommend cleaning the mounting holes beforehand with a toothbrush or wire brush and some cleaner (i used wd-40, it works just the same) and screwing in the bolts halfway beforehand to test fit before you're balancing a heavy hitch receiver trying to get the threads to catch. No complaints so far, haven't used it to tow yet. 2

Great Service from etrailer.com and perfect hitch. I received the order in few days and was a bit concern about the installation. The installation instructions indicated 15 min total installation time and I prepared myself to spend about an hour for this task. I did not have a car lift and with a help of a nephew, we installed the hitch in total 10 min. It fitted perfectly. Now I can transport my two bicycles without taking them apart. The hitch from etrailer.com is strong, non intrusive, discrete and works as intended. I definately recommend it.

Trailer hitch arrived on time. Package was in great shape, and well designed to protect contents.Had a friend help, and it only took about 15 minutes to install.Looks great, I would recommend etrailer to any of my friends. I will be using my hitch for a bike rack and a cargo carrier.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation and Comparison for 2014 Hyundai Tucson
For your 2014 Hyundai Tucson there are a few options for trailer hitches. I would go with the Draw Tite part # 75717 as it has the highest capacities and best price but I can explain the differences too. The Curt hitches part # C13120 and # C13066 are both a fit too but these are different capacities. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch...

  • How Much do the Hyundai Tucson Trailer Hitches Weigh
The really good news is that the weight of the trailer hitch does not count against your towing capacities. Reason being that the hitch basically becomes a part of the chassis of the vehicle according to our hitch manufacturers. That said I'll give you the hitch weights for the 2 inch hitches we offer for your vehicle. The Curt # C13066 weighs 26 lbs. The Draw Tite part # 75717 weighs 37 lbs

  • Will the Curt Ball Mount Part # C45036 Fit a 2012 Kia Sportage with Class III Hitch Installed
Yes, the Curt ball mount part # C45036 that you referenced would fit the Curt Class III hitch part # C13066 you have installed on your 2012 Kia Sportage. This ball mount will provide you a hitch ball that has a 2 inch drop. I attached a help article on how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount for you to check out as well.

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2015 Hyundai Tucson
I have a solution for you but the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13900 will not fit your 2015 Tucson and even if it did it wouldn't increase your vehicles towing capacity. It looks like the 2015 Hyundai Tucson has a maximum towing capacity from 1,000 lbs to 3,500 lbs depending on the model. You can call a dealership and give them your VIN and they'll tell you yours. To add a hitch to your Tucson, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch item # C13066. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Hyundai...

  • Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver For Carrying a Bike Rack On a 2014 Kia Sportage SX
According to Curt you will need their Receiver # C13120 since you have a 2014 Kia Sportage SX. They said their Receiver # C13066 which you have will not fit the SX trim. It does appear the SX has a slightly different rear fascia which is an issue with the other receiver. I do recommend installing the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118526 when you install the receiver. While you won't be towing these will power Auxiliary Lights # C53201. The auxiliary lights are often required due to the...

  • Trailer Hitch and Towing Accessories Recommended for 2011 Kia Sportage SX Turbo Model
Hidden Hitch, Draw-Tite and Curt now make hitches that are compatible with the SX turbo model, although that wasn't always the case. I'd recommend the Curt Class III hitch, part # C13120 because it has the highest tongue weight capacity at 525 lbs and is the least expensive option. Curt makes a high quality product, so the fact that you'll save a dollar or three won't mean you have to compromise anything. If you'll be towing with the hitch, you'll also need the following accessories: Trailer...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for a 2015 Hyundai Tucson
Actually the Curt Hitch part # C13120 does not require the use of a stabilizer strap when carrying a non-supported load like a bike rack. The other Curt hitch part # C13066 that has been confirmed as a fit for your 2015 Hyudai Tucson would require the use of the strap since it is not rated for use with a weight distribution system. If a Curt hitch is not rated for a WD system then they recommend the use of the # 18050. If you have LED trailer lights the correct wiring harness would be...
