Features to know about

Effortless Cold-Weather Flexibility: Silicone Insulated Cable

When you're towing in cold climates, rigid cables can make connecting your trailer a chore. The Bargman 7-Way RV-Style Connector features a flexible silicone-insulated cable that remains highly pliable even in temperatures as low as -67°F (-55°C). Whether you're out with your snowmobile trailer in harsh winter conditions or simply hooking up in a cold snap, this cable makes connecting and disconnecting a breeze.

Durable and Reliable Connections: Pre-Wired 7-Way Connector

Tired of unreliable connections causing electrical issues with your trailer? The pre-wired 7-way blade-style connector offers a hassle-free, secure connection at the trailer end. Its easy-to-grip tabs ensure you can plug in and unplug without a struggle, making sure that your trailer's lights and brakes always connect properly.

Made for Easy Installation: Simple Hardwire to Existing Trailer Wiring

No need for complicated setups. This connector allows for straightforward integration with your trailer's existing wiring. With clearly defined wire gauges like the 10-gauge black and white wires for power and ground, and 12-gauge blue for the brake wire, this setup lets you hardwire with confidence quickly and easily.

Designed for Optimal Performance: Right Color Code and AWG

Navigating wiring can be daunting, but the Bargman 7-Way Connector makes it straightforward. It comes with the right color coding for seamless integration with your trailer's existing wiring systems. This feature ensures optimal performance, keeps your lights and brakes functioning correctly, and is perfect for those cold morning setups with its higher flex attributes.

Ultimate Protection and Longevity: Robust Molded Cable Jacket

The durable blue cable jacket ensures that the wires are well-protected against the elements. Its robust yet flexible design prevents damage from the roughest conditions and keeps your wiring safe, making it an excellent choice if you're planning long-term use or handling tough environments.

Versatile Length for Flexibility: 8 Feet Cable

Need extra length for those awkwardly placed connectors on larger trailers or RVs? The generous 8-foot cable length allows you to connect with ease, no matter the size of your vehicle or trailer. This flexibility means fewer restrictions and more freedom when setting up your towing arrangement.

The connector on that cable that plugs into the factory trailer wiring on my 2022 Toyota Tundra is extremely loose, only the spring loaded cover on the vehicle wiring hold it it place, there is no grip from the wiring connectors themselves. All the other wiring connectors that I’ve owned have had enough friction to hold it in place, the spring loaded vehicle wiring connector was just a backup.
While I’m driving the Toyota tells me a trailer was found, leaving me to believe the connection is intermittent at times. This connector is on my list to replace with a suitable connector, but it’s a fair amount of work to do so.

I like it. It’s just like the original factory cable. Very pliable in cold weather. Thank you.

During an outing earlier this year when we started having an intermittent "trailer disconnect" warning, I mistakenly figured that the problem might be in the plug so I bought a low-end aftermarket unit at a nearby auto parts store and replaced it. During the next outing, the trailer brakes completely failed, and I was later able to properly diagnose the various issues and discover just how bad the situation was! As part of a complete electrical and mechanical brake system replacement, I decided that a new plug and cable assembly was also called for, so I selected this one due to (a) the type of contacts in plug assembly and (b) the fact that it has a silicone rubber jacket on it. When I installed it I was very impressed with the quality of materials and construction. Also, it is very flexible, and therefore doesn't want to pull away from the tow vehicle when it's plugged in, plus it coils and stows easily when it's unplugged.

This connector and cable assembly looks and functions as good as when I first installed and tested it. I couldnt be happier with it.

by:

Very good product. The connectors are split pins rather than single so it makes a good connection. Also, I used it on a snowmobile trailer and it stays flexible in cold weather.

Still working great. Stays flexible in the cold weather which is a great upgrade from the OEM that cracked and split from the weather.

by:

Make sure your vehicle end is wired for a RV configured plug most trucks are not they are wired for automotive configured plugs as in yellow left turn green right turn and brown running lights, this connector is not wired this way.

  • Trailer Wiring Connector Recommendations for Extreme Weather Conditions
We always recommend using Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors when wiring connections are going to be exposed to the elements. These use the standard butt connector to splice the wires together and then there is a shrink wrap on each one that seals away the wiring when heated up with something like a heat gun or a lighter. You will need 2 basic sizes of connectors for trailer wiring: - 16-14 Gauge # DW05744-10 - 12-10 Gauge # DW05745-10 Since you'll be in extreme weather conditions I also...
