Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a two way dia cas trailer connector for the trailer side. This trailer connector is a round terminal slot trailer side connector with vertical pin arrangement. It attaches to an existing trailer wiring lead and is commonly used to make a power connection between the vehicle and a trailer mounted accessory such as a wench or electric tarp. The feature is durable dia cas zinc construction with a spring style cable guard to help protect your wiring. The finger tabs make for easy connecting and disconnecting. And when you're ready to install you're wiring, basically, what you need to do is remove this black piece here at the front, so you take off that set screw and this one.
The plug will remove completely. Take your trailer wiring, feed it all the way through the back, pull it out the front. Make your connections. You have your positive side and negative side. Place back into the housing.
Reinstall the set screws and then here on the bottom, you have the screw that controls the strain release bracket which reduces the amount of strain placed on the internal connection points. That's gonna do it for today's look at the two way dia cas zinc trailer connector for the trailer side.
Will work great for my project
This looks well made, and it is available at a reasonable cost. I haven't figured out what the spring is for. It will be on the trailer to provide a circuit for a DC to DC battery charger for a LiFePO4 battery since the vehicle's charge circuit through the 7-pin connector won't properly charge Lithium batteries. It should be quite durable.
