I have ran a cheap competitor hitch for several years.
A manufacturing defect (welded pivot pin) caused the hitch to fail and resulted in 18000$ damage to my truck and trailer.
I chose the Curt 25000# hitch after much research and found it to be very well made and clearly shows when it is properly coupled. It is quiet and operates with minimal klunking and chunking going down the road.
Overall I am very pleased.
Mounted this hitch on my flatbed 3500 Ram and the hitch works flawlessly. Pull 44' tri-axle weighing in at 23,000# with ease. Very easy to use and understand, very easy to maintain.

We have been enjoying several trips without any issues with noises, binding or unexpected loose & sloppy hitch engagement. At this point I am only able to rate the purchase process, shipping process, and installation process. All three were excellent. A few comments: I took the advise of the etrailer associate that helped me in the purchase process. The shipping worked out OK. Freight company had the item on a pallet in 2 boxes. We were able to remove the 2 boxes and slide them out of the back of the truck in a manner I could move them in the rear of our side by side. ( A wheel barrow would have worked fine too.). Assembly was a basic follow the good instructions process. The items were a bit heavy for one person (at 70 years old). It sure appears to be a good design and heavy duty. I expect the important towing function will be very satisfactory. If not, I will so report later.

Poorly designed kit.
I've installed several rail kits over the years in other trucks and this is the worst one I've had to deal with. I watched their inline video and tried to follow their instructions. It is supposed to take between 1 and 2 hr. to install, try 5 with 2 people. The worst thing is the way it is attached to the the frame rails. They use U bolts around the frame and a 1/2" bolt in a current 1" oval hole. The only thing bearing the load of the hitch shifting from front to back is the holes drilled in the thin sheet metal of the box. Spot welding it to the frame or drilling an other hole is the only way I see to guaranty it doesn't shift. I should have bought the competitors universal kit.

I bought this to pull a 35' 5th wheel travel trailer. It works great. I don't even know it's behind me. I would recommend this product.
At time I have a difficult time to get the latch to lock or unlock.
Good product but not a very easy install, I have a car hoist, which makes it easier, you need to take off both wheels . If you have arthritis for get it, send to a shop with flexible kids to install. No room to get torque wrench on rail bolts, tighten as best as you can and check them periodically, factory exhaust hanger welded on frame right were Ubolt should go but will work if installed to the rear of it.make sure to note that cab side rails use outside bolt holes and tailgate side rail uses second ones in from both sides.
Solid and well built. Installation instructions could have been a little better. I would purchase this again.
Very functional design with its color indicator for engagement status, very HEAVY duty, couldn’t be happier with this this 5th wheel hitch. Good value.
Excellent Fifth Wheel hitch. Easy to use and handles the RV well. Very sturdy and handled the high winds we came through in Kansas.
It reduced chucking and took the play out when hooked-up. It is however much more fussy about accuracy when hooking up. But as long as you use reasonable care when hooking up it is a substantial improvement over the single jaw.
Very good highly recommend it but wish u guys offered a 30k fifth wheel set up as well but other than that it works great
Install was probably double the time it say, and that was with a lift and all legit snap on mechanics tools, instructions are kinda vague is some places and you have to use your best judgment but a good product regardless,
Carriage bolts sent with kit did not work for me can only get open end wrench by frame had to get bolts so that the bolt can be tightened from up above. And only had to drill hole in frame for break hanger
It fit the way it was supposed to fit and performs how it was intended. Great design! It could have have a few more instructions but we figured it out. Took two of us 3 hours to install.
I like the rails and it was worth the money to get ones that the holes match up to my truck and I didn't have to make new holes. Thank you etrailer.
Amazing hitch! Very solid built hitch and easy to install. I love the 360 degree tilt which make it really nice when towing
Easy install, finish on the rails is rugged and hasn't scraped or chipped in my pickup bed.

After a year, the rails still look like new and the brackets against the frame still look new with the original coating. The bolts under the truck have some surface rust but I live in MN so that is expected. The bolts in the bed still have their zinc coating.
Hitch works really good and customer support was awesome
