RV Sewer Hose Support with Hose Support System by Valterra
Get your setup dialed with a Valterra RV sewer hose support that keeps your line on track to the drain. This hose support system performs well on shorter runs; if you extend more than about 6', add extra bracing. Very long spans, like a 10' reach with the drain about 3 inches above the ground, can roll and let a hose full of liquid fall out, so plan your layout accordingly.
Secure the camper end to keep the support under the hose. One method is to add a metal ring in a flange on a 45 degree sewer hose fitting and run a chain through the ring to hold the support in place. After securing, check for any spots that need extra support beyond about 6'.
Stabilize the camper end and avoid overextending unsupported sections. Low dump connections and a hose full of liquid can make the support roll, especially near 10'. Add a strap or chain at the camper end and a prop under long spans to help keep the hose seated.
Plan for added support if you extend more than about 6'. Over almost a ten foot span to a dump connection about 3 inches above the ground, the support rolled and the hose fell out when full of liquid. For longer runs, brace the camper end and add a mid-span support to reduce roll.
It can be less of a pain than using that accordion thing. Setup is straightforward and doesn't require wrestling sections together. Lay it out, set your slope, then check for sag points and brace if the run is long or the outlet is low.
