Pick rigid blades for maximum airflow at higher RPMs, knowing they add more drag, or go flex where blades flatten at speed and are slightly deeper than rigid styles. Measure your space and run a shroud to funnel air, keeping clearances in check for best results.
Not effectively. Even though the blades could spin either way, a pulley-mounted 20 Inch Diameter fan is intended to pull through the radiator, not push. Set it up as a puller with a shroud to direct airflow. Without a shroud, cooling gains may be minimal.
Facing the engine from in front of the vehicle, standard rotation is clockwise. Confirm the blade orientation and any rotation markings on the fan. Verify that the shroud is centered and that the blades clear all sides before running the engine.
